Soprano Titanium is the market leading laser hair removal technology, effectively banishing hair without the pain of other traditional laser hair removal systems. This system has the same triple laser wavelength diode system as the Soprano Platinum for fantastic results on all skin types, including tanned skin. It also has an improved skin cooling system and a second larger treatment hand-piece which means significantly quicker treatment times when treating larger body areas.
On average, laser hair removal treatments are about 30% faster with Soprano Titanium, meaning a full body appointment will take just over 2 hours rather than 3!

What is Soprano ICE titanium?
Soprano ICE Titanium is the most advanced laser hair removal technology available from ALMA Lasers.
It features exclusive 3D technology combining the three most effective wavelengths into a single applicator.
A large 4cm spot size to increase coverage and reduce treatment time making it one of the safest, most comfortable and efficient laser hair removal treatments available.
How does Soprano ICE Titanium work?
Soprano Titanium technology
Soprano’s exclusive 3D technology combines 3 wavelengths:
- ALEX 755mm
- SPEED 810mm
- YAG 1064nm
Combining these 3 wavelengths means the applicator can simultaneously target 3 different tissue depths damaging different parts of the hair follicle at the same time. Combining the absorption and penetration of each wavelength means that every customer enjoys unrivalled results – no matter which skin tone or which body part(s) they are targeting. Traditional single wavelength laser systems tend to be less effective which can mean having more treatments to achieve good results.
SHR
SHR™ is Alma Laser’s proprietary hair removal method used in clinics around the world. It is one of the only clinically proven methods of laser hair removal that is safe & virtually painless for all skin types – including dark and tanned skin.
Sun exposure is also less traumatic to the skin following SHR™ treatment.
The Soprano ICE Titanium incorporates Alma’s SHR method, ensuring safe and comfortable hair removal. Rather than exposing hair follicles to a single high energy pulse which can cause trauma to the skin, SHR works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and prevents hair re-growth, while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue.
A high repetition rate of short pulses are delivered deep into the dermis, achieving high average power and therapeutically effective heat build-up. The sweeping In-motion technique of moving the applicator repeatedly over the treatment area ensures full coverage while the improved Titanium ICE super cooling technology cools the skin surface – preventing discomfort and side effects and allowing for virtually painless yet highly effective hair removal.
Soprano ICE Plus
Soprano ICE Plus is a proprietary technology that continuously cools the skin and regulates temperature throughout the entire laser treatment. The sapphire tip minimises any epidermal risks while maintaining heat within the dermis where hair follicles are treated.

What does Soprano ICE Titanium feel like?
Soprano ICE Titanium often feels like a gradual warming sensation. Some patients may experience a mild pins and needles sensation, particularly where hair is thicker or darker. During an initial patch test you will experience the feel of the treatment.

What to do before Titanium Laser Treatment?
Apart from shaving, avoid any other hair removal method such as waxing, threading or hair removal creams for 6 weeks prior to treatment and throughout your course.
Avoid sunbeds or any kind of fake tan for 2 weeks and normal sun exposure for 1 week prior to treatment.
You should shave areas to be treated or patch tested around 8 hours before your visit, areas should be smooth and stubble free for treatment. Medications that may cause photosensitivity (an increased sensitivity to light and heat) may prevent us from treating you.
What to expect after my Soprano Titanium Laser Treatment?
After treatment you may experience mild redness or slight sensitivity. Aloe Vera gel is excellent to calm and soothe the skin and works well straight from the fridge. For any areas treated that are exposed to sunlight, you should protect your skin with a factor 30-50 SPF sunscreen. We stock Aloe Pura SPF 50 Aloe Vera sunscreen that will protect while cooling and soothing.
For 48 hours after the laser treatment, avoid heat such as hot baths or showers, saunas, and steam rooms. Avoid vigorous exercise and swimming as the chemicals in the water may cause irritation. Our team is always available to provide continuing advice and support even after your final session is complete.
Who can be treated?
The Soprano Ice Titanium is suitable to treat all skin types from 1-6 on the Fitzpatrick scale and is also suitable and safe to treat tanned skin.
As lasers target the brown melanin pigment within the hair follicle, ginger, white or grey hair will not be affected by the laser. The more melanin in the hair, the more effective the treatment tends to be. Very fine hair will not be the best candidate for laser hair removal because hair lacking sufficient density may not contain enough melanin for an effective result.
- We can only treat clients aged 18 or over.
- Clients taking Accutane or similar anti-acne medications or who have been taking Accutane during the past 6 months cannot be treated.
- Clients who are on regular daily antibiotics cannot be treated. A 2 week wait after completing a course of antibiotics is necessary.
- Anyone who is pregnant cannot be treated.
- Anyone who is sunburned, has peeling skin or has had significant sun exposure less than 1 week prior to treatment cannot be treated.
- Anyone with a history of cold sores to the treatment area should start taking an anti-viral medication for 3 days before and after treatment.
- Clients with light sensitive epilepsy, vitiligo, type 1 diabetes, history of keloid scarring or lupus cannot be treated.
- Clients currently taking any medication or herbal supplement that may cause photo-sensitivity – it is necessary to obtain a doctors note in this case before commencing treatment.
Is Soprano Titanium safe?
The Soprano Ice Titanium system is one of the safest lasers on the market. Rather than delivering all the laser energy in single high intensity shots such as with traditional laser systems, the applicator is passed back and forth over the area to be treated so that the energy and warmth builds up over a few seconds.
This gives you a measure of control over the heat you experience.
There is an extremely low risk of complications when our experienced practitioners operate the laser for a given skin type following the correct treatment protocols.
How many treatments will I need?
Laser hair removal will only treat hair in the Anagen phase of growth, roughly 10-15% of the hair in any particular area will be at this phase at any time. Each treatment, 4-8 weeks apart will treat different hairs at this stage of their life cycle so you should see a roughly 10-15% reduction in hair per treatment. Most people will go for 6 to 8 treatments per area, possibly more for more resistant areas such as the face or private area.
Should I shave before my Titanium Laser Treatment?
It is necessary to shave any area prior to laser treatment to ensure the session is safe and effective. The optimal time to shave is around 8 hours before your appointment time. This allows your skin time to calm down and any redness to fade while still leaving a smooth surface for the laser to treat.
If hair has not been shaved, the laser will mainly heat up the hair outside the skin rather than the root structures as required. This will not be comfortable, presents an increased risk of side effects and will also result in the treatment being ineffective or less effective. Anyone arriving for a laser treatment unshaven will not be able to receive a treatment. Therefore, we are unable to treat any area that has not been smoothly shaved prior to treatment.
