Semi-Permanent Make-Up

Semi-Permanent Make-Up, also known as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing is a state of the art procedure which involves implanting hypo-allergenic pigments under the superficial layers of the skin. Using a small sterile micro-needle, the natural pigments are inserted between the dermis and epidermis layers, creating a lasting cosmetic effect. This treatment can be truly life changing by freeing up large amounts of time, usually spent daily applying and re-applying make-up. This treatment is also extremely popular with clients who may have little or no eye brows due to illness or over zealous plucking. Semi-Permanent Make-Up will normally require 2 treatments, spaced about a month apart to be considered complete and can last for up to 2-6 years depending on a number of factors such as individual skin colour and tone, age and amount of time spent in the sun. Whether you’re looking for eyeliner, beautiful eyebrows or luscious lips that will look great all day – everyday, our highly experienced Semi-Permanent Make-Up nurse-technician Charli-Ann’s expertise will give you just that – a procedure that will help you look younger and feel more confident.

Eyebrows

Eyebrows add expression and definition to your face and eyes. They create facial symmetry and correctly shaped eyebrows frame your eyes and make you look younger and more beautiful. If your eyebrows are naturally sparse or past fashion trends to shave or over pluck have left only a few lonely hairs then micro-pigmentation will give you the look that you have always wanted.

Hair Simulation Technique – This technique gives amazing, natural looking eyebrows! Tiny, individual hair strokes in different shades of pigment are applied to achieve a realistic looking eyebrow whilst matching or blending with any existing brow hairs.

Shading Technique – Shading gives a darker, more defined appearance resembling softly applied makeup. This is achieved using uniform pigment with the hair strokes applied closer together. A re-touch treatment may be required after 12-36 months to maintain freshness of look.

Eyeliner – After assessing the shape of your eye and consultation about the look you desire, the procedure involves application of pigment to the upper and lower eyelid.  This can be applied in a traditional straight line or wedged-wider at the outer one third to one half of the eye or domed, with the widest part over the iris.

Eyelash Enhancement – Gives the appearance of thicker eyelashes. This technique is used for individuals who do not have full lashes or simply want a light natural looking enhancement. The procedure involves application of a very thin layer of pigment on the eye line.

Lips

Some are blessed with even, beautiful lips, some are not. Age, cold sores and the damaging effects of sun can disfigure and bleach natural colour from the lips, resulting in a reliance on cosmetics which may smudge or bleed into fine lines of the mouth.  Micropigmentation is an excellent way to obtain a sensual and symmetrical pout and say goodbye to time consuming cosmetics. Beautiful, kissable lips are created by adding natural colour where needed, achieving instant fullness and definition. Subtle corrections can be made to thin, uneven or unsymmetrical lips and the size and shape can be altered as desired. Lip enhancements are a great way of subtly replacing lost pigment especially to the outer border of the lips where it most commonly fades as we age. The technique of blending the pigment with the natural colour of the lip ensures no harsh out lines.
